appearences are often deceptive... only experiences and that too bitter ones bring out the real meaning of the phrase.
i should have been born decades back.. in an era where there were no pretences.. where one could believe in what one saw or heard. where there were no lies , no deceit.
the lines
maaveli naadu vaanidum kaalam.. maanusharellarum onnu pole.. aamodathode vasikkum kaalam.. aapathengaarkkumottilla thaanum.. kallavumilla chadiyumilla.. ellolamilla poli vachanam......
( meaning the time when King Mahabali ruled us people were all alike.. a time when people lived happily.. when no danger befell any man.. no tracheary , no fraud.. not a grain of deciet or lies in anywhere... ) that i learnt long back at school rush to my mind.
today one should think not twice, but many times befor he can believe in what he sees or hears.
how many people today project their real self ? how many people earn their meals by fair means ? how many behave truthfully ?
the faces say something while the mind plans something else.
even if somebody does say the truth no one will believe him.. he belongs to a bygone era... soon to be extinct.
