this is in response to a comment posted by a friend recently.
i want to share my feelings on the subject and what better way than to post it ..

it said
  modern woman is different.. and she knows where to hit to achieve the result..

and i wonder actually...

How do u identify a modern woman?...
  her dress, her qualifications, her job, her attitude, her behaviour, her character...
what is it that makes a woman modern?
Is it that only a woman who is ruthless is  modern?
Does no man ever schemes and manipulates things according to his desire?

recently i saw in a local daily a photograph of a few days old baby deserted on the street by its parents .. left to die... or may be survive if lucky enough...
where will we classify its parents?
as modern since they were ruthless and did disposed the baby  thinking only of their convinence?
or as inhuman?

for me being modern isnt about going to any length to achieve the result,
it is not being ruthless, it is not just money power, it is not just ur qualification or the job u hold..
it is about making the proper decisions , the capacity to be in charge when the situation demands, having the will power to own up the responsibilities of ur actions, the courage to speak up for oneself, and the ability to adapt to changing times...and much more.
being modren shouldnt mean that u have to cut down others inorder to climb up..
it doesnt matter how u look or dress..
it matters how u think..of urself and of others.
